A broadleaf evergreen shrub growing approximately 3' tall and wide. Introduced by the well-known rhododendron hybridizer, Tony Shammarello of Euclid, Ohio. Flowers open in mid-May, strong purplish red with red blotches. Leaves are olive-green year-round.
