A very hardy, deciduous shade tree with a broadly spreading and vase-like habit, growing 40' tall and wide. The small leaves in summer are thick, leathery and dark green. Fall color is yellow. The bark fissures into small exfoliating plates as it matures. Excellent specimen tree.
