Comments: A deciduous to semi-evergreen, suckering shrub, 3-6' tall and wide with erect, clustered branching. With adequate moisture and nutrition it can colonize large areas. Overall habit is upright, rounded and arching. June flowers are white, slightly fragrant on 2-6" upright, dense racemes. Dark green summer leaves turn yellow, orange, red-purple or scarlet in fall and can persist for quite a while. Excellent for naturalizing, massing or using in the border.
