Comments: Protected in China, this rarely available evergreen shrub or small tree is often conical in habit but the plant at Dawes Arboretum is slow growing and shrubby. The flat needles are dark green on top, silvery below and produced in flat sprays. Grows in part shade to full sun in moist, well-drained acid soil but is pH adaptable.
