Comments: A small to medium sized tree 30-40' tall. This species differs from most mountain-ashes in that it has simple compound leaves. Flowers are typical of the genus, 3-4" wide, off-white clusters in June. Fruits mature as 1/2" brown pomes and are non-distinct. Fall color is an excellent crimson. Plant in full sun to part shade; cool-moist site.
