Comments: A deciduous, suckering shrub to 5' high and wide. Valued for outstanding dark green foliage. Tiny sulfur-yellow, tubular flowers occur June through August. Fruit capsules are light brown with numerous tiny seeds. This native shrub is a tough plant, easy to cultivate and adaptable. It is a fantastic native replacement for invasive burningbush or honeysuckle.
