A vigorous, native deciduous vine with lustrous dark green leaves. A fast grower to 20' or more depending on what it grows upon. It twines, covering structures and can girdle small trees. Fall color is yellow. Fruit is a three-lobed capsule, yellow-orange inside with crimson seeds, used in dried arrangements. Plants are male and female so to get fruit plant several.
