Comments: Introduction by North Dakota State University and Greg Morgenson of Lincoln-Oakes Nurseries. Extremely cold hardy. It produces a profusion of bright pink blooms and dark green, leathery leaves. Less fruit set than the species. Will grow to 20 feet tall and wide. Recommended as a shade or landscape specimen tree.
