Family:
Nyssaceae (tupelo family)

Species native to e. North America

Comments:
A deciduous tree with a straight trunk and a very symmetrical habit. It grows to about 35' tall and 20' wide. Easy to grow and looks beautiful in the landscape. The foliage is glossy green through summer; it then turns bright red in fall and seems to hold its color after most other black tupelo cultivars have lost their leaves.
