Comments: This new selection is a small- to medium-sized deciduous tree having bright red flowers, in showy panicles, in late May and early June. It is reputedly much hardier that the popular red-flowering Aesculus × carnea selections such as 'Ft. McNair' having survived harsher winters in Wisconsin. Ultimate size should be 15' tall by 6' wide.
