.
Common name: Green Dwarf pin oak
Family: Fagaceae (beech family)
Distribution: Species native to e.-c. and e. United States
Hardiness: USDA Zone 4
Life form: Deciduous tree
Comments: This deciduous tree is a dwarf witches-broom selection of the hardy and tough pin oak. It forms a round, globular shaped canopy, only growing 10-12' tall and wide in 15 years. Fall color is golden to orange and will tolerate heaver and wetter soils than many other oaks. Ensure neutral to acidic soil conditions to avoid chlorosis.
