Comments:
This rare Japanese maple is a chance seedling originating at Dennis Groh's garden in Dearborn, MI. The dark red, strappy leaves curl giving it a unique appearance. It grows to 6-8' tall and wide making it compact but not dwarf. It is not particularly dense branching being somewhat open in habit. Leaves darken during the course of the summer and remain free from leaf scorch. A prize and unique specimen plant.
