This is a cultivar of dawn redwood. The species is an unusual deciduous conifer found in China in 1945, previously thought to have been extinct. Fast-growing deciduous tree with rich green, flat needles. Fall color is bronze-yellow. In ten years it will reach 16' tall and 6' wide. At maturity, can reach 80' tall and 40' wide.
