Family:

Distribution:
Species native to Iran

Comments:
A new selection of a small, deciduous tree growing 20-30' tall, half as wide with upright ascending branches. New foliage emerges purple, matures green with purple margins. Desirable for its beautiful orange to red fall color. Flowers are interesting for their dark red stamens, but aren't generally showy. Much esteemed for its lustrous dark green summer foliage. Old trees exhibit unusual mottled green-white and tan bark.
