.

Family: Magnoliaceae subfam. Liriodendroideae (magnolia family)
Distribution: Species native to e. North America

Comments: This is a dwarf, more dense selection of a favorite native, deciduous tree. Species can reach 90' in height and is a very fast grower making it difficult to use in most landscapes. This selection is for smaller gardens growing only 15-20' high and wide. Bright green leaves in summer are 1/3 the size of normal. Fall color is golden yellow. A nice specimen tree.
