Comments: This is a drought and heat resistant selection from one of our best known, deciduous forest natives. It was selected from the heat-tolerant Caddo County sugar maples native to canyons in Oklahoma. Uprigh and oval in youth, becoming more rounded with age. Should grow 50' tall by 40' wide. This selection could be used as a shade tree or windbreak for tough, dry conditions. Nice orange-red fall color.
