Comments: A broadly vase-shaped deciduous flowering tree, 20-30' high with equal spread. Heavily textured dark green leaves that are twice the size of the species set off abundant 2" wide, four white flower bracts that can persist for several weeks. Fruits are red, pulpy berries 1-2" across. Fall color can be dark purple to orange-red. Upon maturity, the mottled gray-brown bark is very attractive. Best used as a specimen or accent plant.
