Comments:
Gold Mine inkberry is a recent introduction from Gabe Ceserini, Maryland, as a variegated sport of the well-known Shamrock Inkberry (I. glabra 'Shamrock'). This rounded evergreen shrub grows to only 5-6' tall and wide and is distinctive for its yellow banded margins and occasionally fully gold leaves. Leaves are crowded along fine textured stems, 1-2" in length, with glossy green centers.
