Comments: Released by Princeton Nurseries of Princeton, New Jersey approximately 30 years ago. Valued for being hardier than the species and for displaying consistent rusty red fall color. This plant matures to a round-headed tree about 40' tall and wide. Flowers and fruits are inconspicuous. Foliage resembles its close cousin, the elm, being alternately borne, dark green, rough to the touch, 2-5" long and coarsely toothed along the margins.
