Comments: A recent selection originating from J. Frank Schmidt & Son Nursery of Boring, Oregon. Distinguished for its more upright, vertical habit and faster growth rate than the species. This plant will mature to around 40' tall with a spread somewhat less. Flowers and fruits are inconspicuous. Alternate leaves are densely borne, dark green and exceptionally clean in appearance, 2-5" long by 1-2" wide. Fall color is usually an attractive rusty red.
