Comments:
A compact, multi-stemmed deciduous shrub to 5' tall and wide. Noted for its purple colored, 3" long leaves. Pink funnelform flowers are 11/2" across; they open in May and rebloom throughout summer and into early fall. Fruits are non-showy gray-brown capsules containing numerous dust-like seed. A little known cultivar in the Midwest, but more popular along the west coast.
