Comments: A very hardy, medium-sized, compact, vigorous, well-formed shrub which reaches a height and spread of 3' or less. The flowers are red, with a yellow throat. Dense foliage has purple tips and edges with dark green centers. This selection has attractive gray-purple foliage, unusual for weigelas. Very cold hardy with only some tip dieback and has no serious pest or disease problems.
