Comments:
A spreading, rounded, deciduous shrub attaining 5-7' high and wide. Leaves are variegated and appear as a splashy yellow or yellow-green. Red flowers are tubular, 1-2" long, in May-June. Coarse branches arch to the ground. Use in the shrub border, in massing, groupings or foundation planting. Dieback is common and pruning is recommended after flowering. No serious insect or disease problems.
