A large shrub or small deciduous tree with stout, rigid branches, growing 10-12' tall and wide. Fruit is dark blue, bloomy. White flowers appear in May-June in flat-topped cymes. Fall color is dark reddish purple. Use in the shrub border, mass planting or in groups.
