Comments: A compact deciduous shrub, 8' tall by 6' wide with a rounded, layered habit. Leaves are opposite, simple, broad-rounded with distinctly pointed tips. White flowers unfold as 6" wide clusters in late May to early June, some three weeks later than the species. Fall color is reddish-purple. Flowers are composed of sterile florets.
