Comments: A deciduous shrub, 8-10' tall by 6' wide with an upright, layered habit. Leaves are opposite, simple, broad-rounded with distinctly pointed tips. Pink and white flowers unfold as 4" wide clusters in late May to early June, some 3 weeks later than the species. Fall color is reddish purple. Flowers are composed of sterile florets.
