Comments: A deciduous tree growing 50' tall and half as wide. Leaves are lustrous dark green on top with silver below that flashes when moved by wind. Leaves are also resistant to Japanese beetle and Gypsy moth feeding. Conical when young, it ages oval with a uniform winter silhouette. Bark is light gray, smooth, eventually becoming gray-brown and furrowed. June flowers are yellow, fragrant and highly attractive to bees.
