A compact, narrowly conical, deciduous tree with a strong central leader. Grows 45' tall and spreads 15'. Glossy dark green leaves are heart-shaped, to 3" long and wide. June flowers are small and fragrant. Bark is rich red-brown. Fall color is clear yellow. Use as a specimen plant.
