Comments: This deciduous conifer is similar in appearance to bald-cypress (Taxodium distichum), except the bark is light brown and deeply furrowed. It is a vigorous, narrowly columnar tree with spreading branches. Mature height can be 70' tall with a spread of only 15. Does not develop knees such as the ones found on common bald-cypress. Use as a specimen in open areas.
