Comments: A large deciduous shrub or small tree growing 20-25' tall and nearly as wide. Selected for its uniformly compact oval habit. Annual growth is listed as 12-18" per year. White flowers on large panicles occur in mid-June. The flowers are fragrant, but not with the familiar lilac fragrance. Bright green summer foliage may take on hints of yellow in the fall. An excellent choice for a late-blooming alternative to the common lilac.
