Comments: A deciduous flowering shrub growing 8' tall and wide with a sturdy, dense and rounded habit. It is somewhat slower growing than other Preston types. The buds are purple and open in June with large, pale pink panicles. The flowers have a spicy fragrance and occur about two weeks later than the common lilac. Use as a specimen or in the shrub border.
