Comments: A low, deciduous shrub, sparingly branched, rarely growing to 3' tall and wide. Stems are purple-brown with coarsely and doubly serrated leaves above the middle. Flowers occur in terminal inflorescence in dense, white, dome-shaped, 2-4" wide corymbs in July. Fruit is a brown, dry capsule.
