Comments: A small, deciduous tree noted for its curiously twisted branches. Usually matures as a small tree to 20' tall and wide, but sometimes larger. One inch white flowers in fragrant, 2" long racemes, open in late May. Leaves are opposite, dark to bluish green, pinnately compound. Plant in full sun and well-drained soil in the spring only. Adaptable to infertile soils and not pH sensitive. Subject to breakage from ice and wind.
