As the name indicates, this plant produces its flowers later than average. Ball-shaped trusses open with funnel-shaped pink flowers with dark reddish purple spots. The plant grows to 5' in 10 years. Leaves are silvery gray tomentose when new with a thin, tan indumentum. Upright branches are wider than tall.
