Comments: The 2 3/4" flowers of this Leach hybrid are bright red, fading to pink with an almost-white center in pyramidal trusses of 15-19. Blooms later than most other elepidote (large-leaf evergreen) selections due to its Rhododendron maximum pedigree. Shrub grows to a height of 5 ft. in 10 years. Will accent any garden as a specimen plant or in a grouping. 2014 American Rhododendron Society award winner.
