Comments: A beautiful elepidote (leaves without scales) rhododendron hybrid growing to about 4' tall in 10 years. This large, well-shaped, dense shrub has dark shiny foliage. In late May, flowers are purplish red with very faint scarlet spotting. Use as an accent, mass or specimen planting.
