Comments: An upright native shrub or small tree with fruits attractive to wildlife. This rare native plant typically grows 12-15' tall and nearly as wide. The glossy foliage is distinctive and is its main feature due to the flowers being small and inconspicuous. The small 1/3" fruits (actually classified as a drupe) ripen red and turn to black by mid-summer. Great backyard wildlife habitat.
