Comments: An evergreen tree growing to 75' or taller in its native habitat of northeastern U.S. A lovely, fine-textured and graceful tree with pendulous branchlets. Tops of the tree typically nod. Needles are dark green year-round, two-ranked, 1/2-3/4" long. Undersides of needles show colorful bands of white stomata. Functions superbly in masses and responds well to pruning back.
