Comments: A dwarf, upright evergreen shrub to around 2' tall. Needles are extremely short and arranged perpendicular to the stem, giving the plant a skeletal appearance. Grows only 2-3" a year and exhibits handsome gray-green winter color. No fruiting has been reported on this cultivar. Can be effectively trained as a Bonsai plant. Subject to pine needle scale and sawfly damage, but otherwise quite adaptable to urban conditions.
