Comments: A small evergreen tree or large shrub having short, blue-green needles. It grows as a small dense round-headed tree in central Ohio. It will slowly grow to about 15' tall and half as wide. A specimen has grown in The Arboretum's collections since 1946. Cones produce large edible seeds attractive to wildlife. Use as part of a screen or grouped with other conifers. Plant in full sun, in well-drained soil.
