A cultivar named and introduced by The Dawes Arboretum and valued for its exceptional silvery, gray-white bark. The white bark coloration develops at a young age compared to the species. Original specimen of this evergreen conifer at The Arboretum is now 25-30' tall with a distinctly upright habit. Needles are bright, shiny green, 2-4" long. Cones are sparsely produced, 2-3" long, yellow to brown when ripe. Use as an accent where the bright bark will be best displayed.
