.
Common name: Weeping Blue Norway spruce
Family: Pinaceae (pine family)
Synonym: Picea abies 'Glauca Pendula'
Distribution: Species native to Europe
Hardiness: USDA Zone 4
Life form: Evergreen tree
Comments: A dwarf selection from a commonly planted, large evergreen tree. This selection has an upright form with blue, pendulous branches forming a flaring skirt. Reported as growing 6' tall in 10 years. It will become an intermediate-size plant eventually, perhaps reaching as much as 15' tall and more wide. Staking an upright leader will speed this process. A bold specimen plant!
