Scrophulariaceae (figwort family)

Comments:
12-18" tall x 12-18" wide. This new cultivar of our native Penstemon is among the longest blooming perennials in the garden. Bright red-violet tubular flowers appear in mid-season and just keep going until frost. This plant is a favorite of both hummingbirds and butterflies. Grows into a lovely mounded clump when planted in full sun and a well-drained soil. Great for borders or naturalized gardens, perfect for rock gardens. A low-maintenance, reliably pretty plant.
