Comments: This 6' tall, deciduous shrub has nodding rose-pink racemes which appear in late spring after leaves have emerged. Flowers appear on previous years' wood so prune after flowering. Stems are glabrous brown and peel with age. Foliage is a rich green color. Disease or insect problems are rare with this plant. Use in a mass or bank planting. Does best in moist, but well-drained soil in full sun.
