Comments: This semi-weeping, small, deciduous tree grows to 12' tall and 8' wide. It is an octoploid selection bred by the late Fr. John Fiala of northeast Ohio. Deep red flower buds open to produce abundant raceme-like clusters of white flowers in late April. Fruits are 0.4" (1 cm) in diameter and deep red in color- not produced as abundantly as the flowers. Fall color is yellowish. Makes an excellent specimen plant.
