Comments: This small deciduous flowering tree can grow as a multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub if left low branched. Red flower buds open to pink flowers with red margins in late April to early May resulting in small red fruits. This tree can grow to 8-10' tall by 12-15' wide. It originated with the Simpson Nursery Co. of Vincennes, IN, in 1979. Would make a nice specimen or use in a mass planting as a border or screen.
