Comments:
The northernmost magnolia growing in its native habitat of China. The deciduous, narrow foliage is preceded in spring by many small white fragrant flowers. Mature height is expected to reach 55'. The Chinese name for this plant means "hope of spring" alluding to its early flowering. Still extremely rare in cultivation. Plant in rich, loamy soil in full sun.
