Comments: This evergreen flowering shrub is usually associated with the southern states. This cultivar shows improved cold tolerance. Flowers are in panicles of magenta in late summer to fall. In the south, this plant can reach 12’ tall with ornamental bark; probably much smaller and shrubby in the north. Use as a focal point in a protected location.
