Comments: This cultivar of mountain-laurel is a miniature shrub growing 2-3' tall and wide with small glossy leaves. However, the flowers are just as large as the species, pink in bud and fading to white with a richly colored cinnamon banding. Plant in part shade. Superior flowering shrub for a smaller garden. Grow in groups or massed in shrub borders, cottage gardens, woodland areas or wild/naturalized areas. It compliments rhododendrons and azaleas. In the wild, mountain-laurel is found in a variety of habitats including open rocky or sandy woods, cool meadows, mountain slopes and woodland margins.
