Comments: A broadleaf evergreen tree or large shrub with an upright, compact habit to 12' tall. This relatively new selection is noted for excellent dark green winter foliage. Leaves are 1-2" long with spiny margins. Golden yellow fruits ripen in late summer or early autumn and persist into winter. Requires a male pollinator to ensure fruit production. Reputed to be hardier than most Foster hollies.
